Nurse Practitioner

Overview

Diagnoses and treats patients, prescribes medications, orders tests, and provides health education and counseling.

Responsible For

Provide primary care to patients
Perform initial examinations, including physical exams and patient observations
Setting up and monitoring medical equipment
Ordering and administering diagnostic tests
Communicating test results to patients and their families
Recording patient medical histories
Operating and maintaining medical equipment

Job Nature

Full Time

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in nursing
Take the NCLEX exam to earn licensure.
Pass the NP board examination.
Get a multistate nursing license.
