Entry Level Cybersecurity Specialist

Overview

Assists in protecting an organization's computer systems and networks by monitoring for potential threats. Identify vulnerabilities and implement basic security measures.

Specific Skills
  • Relevant certifications CISSP, CISA, CEH, GISF, SSCP, CASP+ .
  • Strong passion for cybersecurity, basic knowledge of computer networking systems, expertise in forensic tools, understanding of computer networks, and interest in technology.
Responsible For
  • Analyze and assess potential vulnerabilities within the system.
  • Develop and implement secure network solutions to defend against security breaches and malware attacks.
  • Monitor systems for any unusual activities.
  • Conduct regular security audits and generate reports for IT administrators and business stakeholders.
  • Recommend and install appropriate security measures, such as firewalls and encryption.
  • Respond to all system and/or network security breaches.
  • Ensure that the organization’s data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls.
  • Participate in the change management process.
  • Test and identify network and system vulnerabilities and create counteractive strategies to protect the network.
  • Conduct proactive research to analyze security weaknesses and recommend appropriate strategies.
